The Rothberg Institute for Childhood Diseases is a non-profit research institution devoted to discovering, developing and delivering to patients novel chemical and biological therapies for the treatment of Tuberous Sclerosis and other childhood diseases. We are applying innovating drug discovery strategies and operate at the intersection of molecular biology, chemistry, and nanotechnology. We are located on the picturesque Connecticut shoreline in Guilford, CT.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Our modern understanding of cancer comes from animal models of TSC, and the first description of autism comes from a TSC patient. Work done on TSC will have a direct impact on cancer research and can also form a basis for understanding and treating other childhood disorders.
